BCR Update

Dear Members,


In accordance with the Society’s bylaws, the Nominating Committee has completed its review of submitted expressions of interest and is pleased to present the proposed slate of candidates for service as Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the 2026 California Dental Association House of Delegates.


The CDA House of Delegates is the policy-making body of the California Dental Association, where representatives from local dental societies across the state convene to shape CDA policy, elect leadership, consider bylaw amendments, and address issues affecting the profession.


The 2026 House of Delegates will be held November 13–14 at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott.


Nominating Committee Slate for 2026 CDA House of Delegates

Delegate Candidate Names: Eric Axelrode, Michael Huguet, Sanjay Patel, Keemia Shariati, Alice Tai, Kenneth Tittle, William vanDyk


Alternate Delegate Candidate Names: Alma Clark, Francisco Macias, Rigo Martin


Under Society bylaws, additional nominations may be made by petition of the membership.


Petition Process for Additional Nominations

Any voting member qualified for office may be nominated by petition signed by ten (10) members eligible to vote.


Petitions must be submitted no later than:

 Tuesday, May 12, 2026

Any candidate properly nominated by petition will be added to the ballot presented at the May General Membership Meeting.


The election will take place at the Society’s May General Membership Meeting [Insert link to registration page] on May 19, where members will vote to elect the Society’s Delegates and Alternate Delegates.
